In the beginning...

Sunny and Mitch started toying with the idea of putting some acoustic versions of some of their favorite music. They found themselves having a wonderful time and performing at smaller venues, weddings, and other functions as a duo. It was at a wedding - while performing - that they met Galynne Davis. Galynne was going to be performing at the same wedding with another band and was playing along with Sunny & Mitch in the background whilst setting up her set - voila - a new combination was formed.

Now as a trio, Carlyle was able to present themselves to larger venues & became more in demand across the Portland area & the NW - But as it came time to explore expansion - to further more growth - Carlyle started trying out various artists to fill the bass instrumentation. After giving up - not finding quite the right fit - low & behold they fell upon Casey Taylor.

Casey Taylor brings to Carlyle a very musical & melodic form of bass playing that fits in dynamically with the group's musical format...not to mention, Casey's versitality as a guitarist.

Carlyle as you now know it - Casey Taylor, Galynne Davis, Mitch Ward & Sunny Andersen.
